AHS 220 is the ‘gateway’ course for all the upper-level geology courses (e.g. AHS 307 – Field Geology, AHS 322 – Surficial and Glacial Geology, and 400-level courses). It is usually offered in the Spring. It meets for lectures three times a week, and has a weekly 1hr 50 min Lab each week. The lab includes at least one local field trip, where students practice and apply field geology skills.
