AHS 425 – Petrography is offered ‘on demand’, when there are a sufficient number of interested students and Dr. Pound is able to schedule teaching of this course. Petrography focuses on detailed descriptions of rocks (igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic). The mineral content and the textural relationships within the rock are examined in detail, including use of a petrographic microscope and other analytical techniques.
